EMISSION-FREE TO NEW HEIGHTS

Committed to playing its part in environmental protection, Gerken places its confidence in innovative, state-of-the-art technologies.  
Thanks to battery-powered drive systems, 70% of the machines and equipment in our rental park are emission-free and operate without combustion engines. At our locations across Germany, the batteries are charged with power generated independently from our own photovoltaic facilities. As a result, we are able to cover around 25% of our power requirements. 

Our battery-powered equipment systems also boast several advantages in regular operation. As these systems are emission-free and virtually noiseless, they are perfect for indoor use. If, for instance, additional driving is required on unpaved surfaces, our state-of-the-art, heavy-duty hybrid equipment systems provide the ideal solution: battery-powered, emission-free operation indoors and powerful all-wheel-drive diesel vehicles fitted with a particulate filter for outdoor operations.

Gerken also relies on state-of-the-art technology for its low-loader fleet: almost all vehicles in our fleet comply with the requirements of the Euro 6 emission standard. Moreover, thanks to software-based analyses and optimization of driving habits, it is also possible to save fuel.
